Taking a Break

I'm really trying to pound this ten page paper out tonight if possible. About the Gujarat riots in India in 2002. Pretty mush the most awful stuff ever. The paper's due Friday, but I'm going to try not doing the last minute thing for a change. Maybe. Anyway I needed a break, so I went down the street to 7-11 and bought a soda, and then got on ESPN and read a great article by Rick Reilly. It's about why sports are so great. Check it out. Also, Cranberry Sierra Mist is delicious.

I love how Rick Reilly said, "Sports has no gray areas. It's black or white, win or lose, hero or goat. Nobody has to form a committee to figure it out. Not true in dance or art. Who was better, head to head, Matisse or Monet? If it were sports, we'd know." Apparently he has never heard of the BCS.

Yeah, or figure skating, or the dunk contest or any other sport or competition where there are judges. There are parts to nitpick, but the underlying theme of the article was great.
